Wogies (Whoa-geez) Bar and Grill offers a Philly experience in New York City. Named after the owner’s father, Wogies has two locations – one in the West Village and the other in the Financial District. Following their “Philly Born – New York Bread” they offer an amazing array of sandwiches, Crazy Kate Wings, Garbage Bread, and one of the best Philly cheesesteaks in NYC.
As part of a brand refresh, Wogies was in need of a modern revamp of their site. They wanted to improve on their current site design not only in terms of visual appeal but also in the usability of their customers ordering experience, with a heavy emphasis on optimizing the experience for mobile devices.
Pixelstrike was able to take the existing rebrand for print design and convert it, then expand on it, for use on digital platforms. After an initial meeting with the owner and general manager, we organized the existing and new content, then created a site organization. This IA (Information Architecture) planned the new site design and development to use different types of content while giving the client a roadmap for our implementation to enhance the customer experience.
Wogies new site features a modern, mobile friendly site that provides a great user experience on all devices. The back end is easy to use and anyone working at Wogie’s can make changes to their site content without any coding knowledge or outside help. The site addresses exactly what you would want in a restaurant – contact information, where they are located, how to order, and a visually appealing and accessible menu. We also did an extensive amount of Search Engine Optimization work on each page and menu category including writing meta descriptions, formatting SEO friendly text, and implementing Google’s AMP (Accelerated Mobile Pages) system to increase mobile traffic searches.
