Louise Strickland

Brand Strategist

Tell us a little bit about your background and your role at Pixelstrike.

It has been a true pleasure for me to join the team at Pixelstrike, building their social media presence by creating content and advertising strategy. Prior to the move to Pixelstrike, my experience grew through various positions in small business and wholesale marketing across a range of industries including health, fitness, fashion, and home improvement. Brand strategy has been a passion of mine since my move from Connecticut to the vibrant Richmond business industry in 2013.

What is your favorite online procrastination tool?

Duolingo! I try to practice my foreign language skills about 10 minutes a day each, but I frequently find myself losing track of time and practicing until my phone battery dies.

You are given the day off to do anything but work.  How do you spend your day?

I take any opportunity I can get to run away to the beach. I actually drove all the way to the Outer Banks just for one day because the swell was noteworthy. There is just something about being in the ocean that helps me reset.

What is your perfect pizza?

A Margherita pizza with added bacon. Always add bacon.

What would people be surprised to know about you?

I’m a classically trained singer! I hold a Bachelors Degree in Music from the University of Connecticut and spent most of my life on the stage.

If you had to be trapped in a tv show for a month, which would you choose?

Arrested Development. The Bluth family knows how to laugh and throw a great party. It would be amazing to try and save the Bluth company through aggressive marketing campaigns.
